Andy Abrams: Asian Studies: I will be attending UVA law school for the next three years. I plan to study international law.

David C. Armillei: Government/Foreign Affairs: I am attending Stanford Law School in California after graduation in May.

Lauren Axelrod: Political & Social Thought/Government: I will hopefully be serving in Americorps*NCCC for the next year (either in San Diego, Charleston SC or DC... I find out in June) and applying to law school next winter.

Clark C. Baumbusch: Chemistry: I am working for the department of anatomy at the University of California San Francisco as a research associate.

Kenneth Barron: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will be going to England as a Teaching Fellow at St. Edward's School in Oxford. Then, I will be heading to medical school at the University of Massachusetts.

Jill Beauchesne: English: I will graduate in May with a BA in English and a French minor. This July I will begin working for the Buffalo Bills, a professional football team, in the Sports Publications and Media Relations department.

Natalie Beckman: Biology: I will be attending medical school at Ohio State University in the fall.

Elizabeth Bibb: Commerce/Psychology: I will be working for Bain and Company in New York.

Andrew Bowen: Biochemistry: I will be working towards my Master's of Science in Forensic Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I was awarded a University Fellowship that covers tuition and services and provides a stipend of $15,000 per year.

Dustin Burke: Economics: I will be working as in investment banking with Salomon Smith Barney in New York.

Kirsten Burton: Government: I will be married, living in Chapel Hill and attending Duke's Sanford Institute of Public Policy pursuing my Master's in Public Policy (MPP).

Jonathan Carr: Government/Foreign Affairs: I will be working for a year with the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, DC. I will then attend law school.

Shelley Cavalieri: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I've signed on for a three year term in social justice mission work through the United Mehodist Church's Mission Intern Program. I will be abroad for the first year and a half, and in a domestic placement for the latter half.

Emily Chacon: Economics: I am working for Price Waterhouse Coopers in Arlington, VA.

Donald S. Christman: Psychology: I will be entering Georgetown Medical School on an Air Force scholarship.

Michael "Sparky" Clarkson: Biochemistry/Philosophy: I'll be going on to pursue a graduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill).

Danny Coudriet: English: i wanted to let you know that, next year, i will be pursuing an M.A. in creative writing and english at hollins university in roanoke, va. from there, i may work a couple of years, i may pursue an M.F.A. in creative writing, or i may pursue an M.F.A. in film production.

Jonathan Daniell: German/Foreign Affairs: Here's what I'm up to after graduation: Starting in September I'm heading off to Germany for a year with the Fulbright Program to be an Assistant English Teacher in a German high school. Afterwards I plan to come back to Georgetown University and pursue my Master's in Foreign Service.

Elisa Dannemiller: Commerce: I will be working at McKinsey and Company next year in NY.

Isabelle David: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: After hanging out in Colorado for a little while, I will be getting certified in San Francisco to teach English, and then I will be moving to Costa Rica for two years to teach and to learn Spanish.

Tony De Falco: Spanish/Biology: Next year I will be attending Johns Hopkins University for a PhD program in Biology.

Ted Delaney: Anthropology: I will be working in Lynchburg, Virginia, as an archivist and curator for a local museum.

Chris DiBiagio-Wood: Mathematics/Cognitive Science: I'll be heading to Europe for a couple of months and then returning to the DC area to work for CMGI Solutions (tech consulting).

Eric Donovan Dowell: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will be working for the Federal Trade Commission as an Honors Paralegal in the Bureau of Competition. probably living in Arlington. studying for the LSAT and applying to law schools in the fall.

Eric Dunham: Physics: I will be entering a PhD in physics program at U Calif- Santa Barbara.

Sarah Dunham: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will be attending the University of Virginia Medical School starting this fall.

Lindsay Durtan: Biochemistry: I will be attending Duke Medical School

Jessica Edgar: Commerce: I will be working for Deutsche Banc Alex Brown as an Investment Banking Analyst. I will be at the Alex Brown headquarters in Baltimore, MD.

Claire Edwards: Biology: Next year I will be working at George Washington University's Health Services Management and Policy division, helping with a study on Medicare+Choice programs. In addition, I will apply to medical school in June, so with luck, some of next year will also be spent in admissions interviews.

Warren Ellsworth: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I'm going to medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Corrine Epperly: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will be doing biomedical science research in the Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health.

Melissa Epperly: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will be heading to New York City to do investment banking at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in the health care industry.

Hunter Ferguson: History/Government: From May 25 through July 21st, I will be participating in the Governor's Fellows Program in Richmond, VA. I will be attached to the Secretary of the Commonwealth and assisting the office in various capacities. This morning I accepted a two year position with the US Department of Justice. I will be a Civil Rights Analyst in the Voting Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division. I am responsible for enforcing Section 5 of the Voting Rights of 1965 which requires covered jurisdictions, including most of the American South, to pre-clear any changes to voting laws with the DOJ before implementing them. I will be assigned to a particular geographic region and will be responsible for reviewing, researching, investigating, and analyzing proposed changes in voting standards, practices, and procedures for any intentional or unintentional negative impact on the Voting rights of protected minority groups, and developing written recommendations for approval or disapproval of the submitted changes. The position is located in Washington, D.C. and is part of the DOJ's Outstanding Scholars Program.

Jed Ferguson: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I'll be attending UNC-Chapel Hill Medical School in the MD/PhD program. So I guess I'll be in Chapel Hill for the next seven or eight years!

Angela Fostieris: Commerce: I will be doing I-banking in NYC for Warburg Dillon Read.

Aubrey Gilbert: Biology/Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will be in Panama with the Smithsonian for the summer. Mid-September I will move to the National Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology in Paris where I will work for six months before starting a back-pack adventure across Europe and Asia.

Ranjit Goudar: Biochemistry/Biology: I'm going to the Duke University School of Medicine, and I'm going to get an M.D. and a Masters of Health Sciences in Clinical Research.

Jonathan Graham: Mathematics/Economics: I am getting married in August to Rodman Scholar Sarah Diersen. After honeymooning in the Fiji Islands, we will move to Chicago, IL where she will work for Bain & Co. and I for The Boston Consulting Group-- both starting in September.

Mark Gramann: Mathematics/Physics: I plan to through hike the Appalachian trail and then will work as an engineer/analyst for a small firm until August of 2001. At that time I plan to begin a PhD program in mathematics.

Jake Gramlich: Economics/Mathematics: I'm going to San Ignacio, Bolivia to work with a church, "La Iglesia Evangelica." South American Mission has had missionaries working with the church for a few years now and I'm going to join them. The mission is to strengthen the church in the knowledge of what Jesus has done for us on the cross. I'll be there about a year.

Adam J. Greene: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will be traveling to Europe and Australia to live in Sydney for 6-7 months.

Olya Gurevich: Cognitive Science: I will be attending graduate school in Linguistics at UC Berkeley and teaching Russian.

Morgan Guyton: English: next year I am going to be working with the Lutheran Volunteer Corps in Washington DC.

Jeff Hadden: Economics: I will be a consultant with Oxford Associates in Bethesda, MD.

Shahriar (Shawn) Haji-Momenian: Biochemistry/Biology: I will be going to UVa Medical School next year.

Sarah Harris: English/Modern Studies: I will be teaching at Millfield School in England through the UK fellowship program.

Andrea Henderson: Biology: I plan to work next year in a veterinary clinic, and to apply to veterinary school in the fall. My top choice of vet schools is the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg.

Tabia Hsi: English: I'll be on a Fulbright grant, teaching English in Muenster, Germany.

Thomas Hsu: Music: working for Andersen Consulting in Manhattan

Macon Hubard: Commerce: I will be moving to New York City to work as an Analyst in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers.

Tara Hudson: Studies in Women and Gender: I'm joining the staff of the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) as part of their fellowship program. I'll be starting in August, and I won't find out until then where I'll be for the next two years. (I could be anywhere in the country, which I think is really exciting!!!)

Blase Iaconelli: Economics/History: I am a graduating 4th year Echols, double majoring in Economics and the History Distinguished Majors Program. In the fall I will be attending Virginia Law.

Shad Imam: Commerce: I will be working for PEC Solutions next year in Northern Virginia.

Ben Jamieson: Religious Studies: I'll be going to grad school next year for student affairs. It's a two year master's degree program. Right now it's looking like I'll probably be at Miami of Ohio.

Molley Jesse: Government/Foreign Affairs: I'll be at Duke Law School for the next 3 years.

Jennifer Johnson: Commerce: I'll be staying for a fifth year to get my Masters in Accounting, and will also be TAing Comm 201/202.

David Katz: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I am going to be taking a year off before attending med school.

Katie Klingler: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I'll be doing teaching elementary school in the Mississippi Delta through Teach For America.

Matthew Knight: Physics: In the fall, I will be attending the University of Maryland (College Park), Department of Astronomy in pursuit of my Ph.D.

Matt Kramer: English: After graduation I'll be working as a PR rep. for Lockheed Martin in Gaithersburg, MD.

Peter Leary: Political & Social Thought/History: I will be working as an environmental activist for the State Fund for Public Interest Research out of their Chapel Hill, NC office.

Renee Le Febure: History: I am moving to Tucson, Arizona to be a financial consultant.

Neil Lineberry: Biology: I will be attending the graduate program in immunology at Stanford University.

Amy Litty: Economics/Philosophy: I will be attending Harvard Law School in the fall.

Rebecca Lord: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I'm recording a CD this sumer and in July I plan on doing a Real World/Road Rules 10 week challenge for television. I'm giving music a go for a while, but I'm starting to do college speeches about volunteerism and good mentoring.

Alison McCombe: Biochemistry/Biology: I'll be going to University of Florida for their graduate program in zoology. I will be working under Dr. Karen Bjorndal through the Archie Carr Center for Sea Turtle Research. I received an NSF Fellowship and also the UF Presidential Fellowship.

Ashley McDonald: Political & Social Thought: I will be at Yale Law School.

Jerry McGuire: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will be doing ecological research with the Department of Environmental Sciences.

Matthew McIntosh: Cognitive Science: I will be attending West Virginia University School of Medicine next year.

Bridget McLaughlin: Economics: Next year I am working in Washington, D.C. for Capital Economics, an economicconsulting firm specializing in anti-trust work.

Stephanie Merhar: Cognitive Science/French: Next year I'm moving to New York City to work with autistic kids for a year before attending medical school.

Kimberly Miller: Religious Studies: Next year I will be living in New Haven, CT. and attending Yale Divinity School as in the Master of Divinity program.

Nate Miller: History/Economics: I'm working at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in DC.

John Moorehouse: English/History: I will be taking a job with the Kingsport Times-News in Kingsport TN June 1 as sports writer and assistant desk editor.

Tilottoma Mukherjee: Physics: I will be working as an underwriter in the Risk Management Division for MassMutual Life Insurance and FinancialServices, in Springfield, Massachusetts. I plan on earning my MBA in a couple of years.

Jiten Naran: Economics: I will be at Harvard Law School next year.

Kristen Novotny: Biology: I will be in England!! :) Taking summer session classes at Cambridge University in palentology, astronomy and genetic engineering of plants. This coming winter I will apply to graduate school for entry into the class beginning Fall 2001, most likely Ph.D. programs in infectious diseases/immunology or population and evolutionary biology.

Nan Peterson: Foreign Affairs: My summer locale will be Charlottesville, interning at the Institute for Environmental Negotiation. I will then be spending August in Russia at the Diplomatic Academy. Within the next year, I hope to be going to live in Central Asia or Russia.

Whitney Phillips: Economics: I will be living in Washington, D.C. next year working for the Economic Analysis Group of Arthur Andersen.

Andrea Plummer: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I am interning at ABC with "Good Morning America" in New York City this summer. Then I am pursuing dance/musical theater in NYC for one year before medical school.

Deborah Popowski: Political & Social Thought: From late June to early December, I will be in Argentina working for a lobbying firm and hopefully interning at the Buenos Aires Herald. Then, it's home (Princeton) for 6 weeks ... and departure for French-speaking Africa in mid-January to do rural health education with the Peace Corps.

Adam Possner: Political & Social Thought: I will be continuing school at the University of Louisville in Kentucky in preparation for going to Medical School.

David Roadcap: Biology/Chemistry: Next year I will be attending Duke University and will begin work on my Ph.D. in their Cell and Molecular Biology program.

Stephen Shepherd: Economics: I will be working for Capital One Financial up in Northern Virginia on their E-commerce strategy team.

Natalie Shioji: Commerce: I will be living in New York City next year with fellow Echols Scholar Stephanie Merhar, working in Internal Consulting Services for J.P. Morgan.

Ashley Snyder: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I am going to be at UVA again next year (well for the next six or seven years) doing an MD/PhD...I don't know what I am doing my PhD in yet...biochemistry or molecular biology...???

Avalyn Taylor: Political & Social Thought: I have a research fellowship working for PIRG, which stands for Public Interest Research Group. I will be working on public interest issues, mainly environmentally-related. I have not found out the location where I will be placed yet, but it will probably be somewhere in Washington State or Oregon.

Will Tuttle: Foreign Affairs/Spanish: I will be attending Vanderbilt Law School this fall.

Kate Van Tassel: Environmental Chemistry: I will be working for the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, doing community organizing in the Bronx. It's definitely going to be different, but I'm excited about it.

Ruth Ann Vleugels: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I will attend Vanderbilt Medical School as a Canby Robinson Scholar.

Carson Waldrop: History/French: I am planning to attend law school next year here at University of Virginia Law School.

Dave Wilkinson: Political & Social Thought: I will be working with the Federal Trade Commission this summer as an honors paralegal. After that, I will hold a Jane Addamms Felloiwship in Philanthopy at Indiana Univerity's Center on Philanthropy, where I will stucy the philosophy and ethics of philantropy and have an internship with a local non-profit.

Jodi Williams: Sociology: I will work for Street-Works, an architectural/planning consulting firm in Alexandria, VA.

Michael Williams: Echols Interdisciplinary Major: I am planning to attend Harvard Medical School in the fall.

Whitney Wilson: Classics/Government: I am planning to teach English in Chile next year.

Lea Winerman: Psychology/Physics: I'll be in New York working as an editor at a Jewish student magazine called New Voices. This is only a one year job, so after that, we'll see.

Aaron J. Wyse: Biochemistry: I will be attending Duke University School of Medicine this upcoming fall. In the interim, I will be a Resident Teaching Advisor for the NJ Governor's School of International Studies.

Vincent Yeung: Philosophy/Economics: I will be working at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York as an investment banking analyst.
