Sarah Jenkins

I've worked at UVA since 2016, previously in the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women's Center. I am consistently inspired and energized by the UVA students I have the pleasure of connecting with each year. I enjoy getting to know students on an individual level and learning about they're passions and interests. I see advising as a collaborative process where I can support the student in making the most of their undergraduate career. Prior to coming to UVA I earned my B.A. in Women's Studies from UNC Chapel Hill, my M.A. in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Florida Atlantic University, and my M.Ed. in Critical Studies in Educational Foundations from Ohio University.  I earned my doctorate in Higher Education here at UVA and am excited about continuing to put my education into practice through pre-major advising in the College.
