Libby Taylor

As an advisor, I am focused on connecting with students in a meaningful manner and assisting them in their academic and personal journeys through UVA. I utilize a holistic advising approach, building with students a sense of trust and respect. My core philosophy when advising students is to put the student at the center of every conversation and to focus every interaction on addressing their needs in a way which is ethical, respectful, and which leads to student self-sufficiency. My previous work focused on assisting predominately first-generation students in need of academic recovery at a small, liberal arts HBCU.
