As an academic advising dean in the College, I recognize that each student is unique. Therefore, I employ various advising approaches to work effectively with all my students. The ability to utilize various approaches allows me to meet students where they are and better aid them in achieving their academic and personal goals. Additionally, I foster an adviser-advisee relationship that is characterized by shared responsibility, thus helping students develop self-advocacy and self-efficacy.

Before coming to UVA, I served as an advising specialist and program coordinator in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, completing small home improvement projects, and closely following my favorite collegiate and professional sports teams.
