I am a scholar-advisor bridging cognitive philosophy and science with the scholarship of teaching and learning. Engaging in practitioner-based inquiry, my research explores the practical intersections of work, learning and cognition in classrooms, workplaces, outdoor settings and through technology.

I approach advising from curiosity-driven conversations: together, students and I surface goals, pursue experiential learning opportunities and weave coursework, research and co-curricular experiences into coherent, resilient plans that extend beyond Grounds. I also mentor undergraduate researchers—guiding projects that have earned grants, conference spotlights and publications.

My Engagements seminar, Understanding Your Liberal Arts Education, invites first-year Hoos to examine empirical evidence on the lifelong value of liberal arts learning, modeling the reflective habits at the core of effective learning.

Before joining the College Advising Fellows, I served as an Assistant Professor in the College, held positions at Florida Atlantic University, Lynn University and independent schools, and consulted for educational organizations. My favorite non-academic work experience includes time with a design and manufacturing firm in Golden, CO and at a southern BBQ restaurant in Boca Raton, FL.

I hold a Ph.D. in Comparative Studies, an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, and you can learn more about my practice here.
