Use of Email for Official College Messages
Understand College policy on official communications
Students are expected to check their University of Virginia email regularly to ensure they are aware of official messages from the College or the University.
Lack of awareness of officially sent email will not be accepted as a reason for failure to comply with information in the message.
The College and University regularly send students important messages, including notifications about academic status; upcoming deadlines for enrollment, major declaration, graduation; official newsletters; requests to schedule an appointment with your advising dean or other advisor; and advising information for the upcoming semester.
