Advising Dean and Assistant Professor
As an Advising Dean in the College, I am dedicated to ensuring that all my students feel supported and empowered on their educational journey. My advising approach is influenced by my personal experience as a bilingual (English/Spanish) first-generation college graduate. My years of experience teaching Spanish language and literature at UVA have prepared me for my current role advising students on their World Language Requirement and the many programs available through the College of Arts and Sciences. I am enthusiastic about encouraging students to consider studying abroad, as I have seen its numerous benefits for personal and professional development.
