Use of e-mail for Official College Messages

Students are expected to check their U.Va. e-mail regularly to ensure that they are aware of official messages from the College or the University. Lack of awareness of officially sent e-mail will not be accepted as a reason for failure to comply with information in the message.

Examples include end of the semester academic status messages, including notice of a school hold; notice of penalties consequent to failure to declare a major; various official newsletters; request to schedule an appointment with your Association Dean, advising information for the upcoming semester, etc.
